David G. Robinson studied Botany (B.Sc., 1969) and Biophysics (Ph.D., 1972) at the University of Leeds (UK). Postdoc and Asst. Prof. at Stanford University (1972-74). At the University of Gottingen 1974-99, as Professor for Plant Cytology. From 2000: Professor for Plant Cell Biology at the University of Heidelberg. First Director, Heidelberg Institute for Plant Sciences. Major research interests: vesicle-mediated protein trafficking, ER-Golgi dynamics, vacuole biogenesis and transport to the vacuole.
